Evening

The Sizable tetralogy continues with this third installment: Evening. As the daylight subsides and the nightlife swings into bloom, the songs take on a character all their own, with a life and energy to match. The usual Alternative Acoustic Rock variety persists: social commentaries (sometimes thrashy, others psychedelic) and jazzy blues, bawdy rockers offsetting pleasant melodies, and Time To Write My Country Song flowing into the barroom sing-along Drink, Drink, Drink!

Once again Sizable wrote, arranged, performed, and produced all of these songs, with the exceptions of Love You Need You (Tim Lohmann composed its original guitar riff) and This Song Sucks (an off-the-cuff improv by Castle Mantis, Eric & Brad's first band). Wil Reeves recorded the stomping and clapping for Drink, Drink, Drink and the tambourine for This Song Sucks at his wonderful Centro Cellar Studio in Columbia, MO, US, and we recorded the background chatter at Shakespeare's Pizza on a Sunday evening. All the rest of the recording took place in Sizable's home studios. Wil Reeves mixed and mastered the entire album with us in 15 hours.
